Udupi: A case has been registered at the Manipal police station against four individuals ,Muhammad Shakir, Abdul Nasir, Anwar Hussain, and Hasina Banu,for deceiving a cooperative society using fake documents.

Muhammad Shakir allegedly obtained a loan of Rs 20,00,000 from the cooperative society by submitting fake documents, claiming ownership of the ground floor of the Ju-Leo Residency Building in Kundapur Taluk, Koteshwar village. The accused had already obtained a loan of Rs 55,00,000 from the Kundapur Cooperative Society using the original documents.

Accused Abdul Nasir, Anwar Hussain, and Hasina Banu, who signed as guarantors for the loan, are accused of colluding with Muhammad Shakir to cheat the cooperative society.

The Manipal police have registered a case against the four accused and are investigating the matter further.
