The man, identified as Jayakar Nayak, a resident of Sagri, was successfully rescued after a challenging operation that lasted nearly half an hour.
Man found trapped inside residential well
According to sources, Jayakar Nayak was discovered trapped inside a well located within the premises of his house. It is suspected that he may have slipped and fallen into the well, although the exact circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear.
Some local sources indicated that he may have accidentally lost his balance near the well. There were also indications that he had a history of excessive alcohol consumption, which may have contributed to the incident.
Family members and neighbours reportedly noticed the situation and immediately alerted emergency services for assistance.
Fire personnel rush to the spot
After receiving the information, the district fire and emergency services personnel rushed to the location and began rescue operations.
The rescue was considered difficult due to the depth of the well and the confined space inside it. Firefighters had to carefully plan their approach to ensure the safety of both the trapped man and the rescuers.
Using ropes and rescue equipment, the team descended into the well and managed to secure the man before lifting him to safety.
Half-hour rescue effort succeeds
The entire operation lasted nearly 30 minutes, during which the fire personnel worked under challenging conditions. Despite the risks involved, the team continued their efforts until Jayakar Nayak was safely brought out of the well.

After being pulled out of the well, he was immediately provided assistance and transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
