Udupi District Sessions Court Judge Abdul Raheem Hussain Sheikh emphasized the need for government schools to maintain high standards and provide quality education. Speaking at a programme held on September 29 at Sri Vinayaka Sabhagruha in Kumbhashi, Annegudde, he called for efforts to sustain government schools and highlighted the significant role of teachers in shaping the future of society.

The event, organized by the Karnataka State School Development and Management Committees Coordination Centre, recognized educators with the district-level Harikaar Award, Best Teacher Award, and Best SDMC Award for the 2024-25 academic year.

Judge Sheikh expressed concerns about the misuse of mobile technology by youth and stressed the importance of mental and physical well-being alongside academic education. The event also honored retired headmistress Sumana Kalyan and SDMC committees from various schools for their contributions.
