Udupi: Karkala Rural Police have arrested Congress worker Prasad Shetty in connection with an alleged objectionable and provocative social media post targeting BJP MLA and former minister V Sunil Kumar.

According to the allegations, the social media post contained threatening and objectionable remarks against the Karkala MLA, including language that was interpreted as a threat to his life and a demand for his head.

Police register case

The post reportedly circulated on social media, triggering public outrage and concern among supporters of the MLA and others.

Following the circulation of the content, Karkala Rural Police registered a case and took Prasad Shetty into custody for questioning.
