In a heartwarming intervention, Tahsildar Pratibha R ensured that a 94-year-old bedridden woman, Muthu Poojarthi from Adve in Palimaru, received her ration despite biometric verification issues.
Due to incomplete KYC, Muthu was unable to claim her entitlement, and attempts at the Gram One center failed to resolve the problem. Concerned family members approached center owner Ismail Palimaru, who escalated the issue to the tahsildar.
Recognizing the urgency, Pratibha R directed food inspector Leelanand to bypass biometric verification in the software, enabling Muthu to receive her ration. Officials have now assured that bedridden seniors and others facing similar challenges can seek exemptions by informing authorities.
