Udupi— In a significant contribution to public healthcare under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) handed over essential medical equipment and a vehicle to the District Health and Family Welfare Department, Udupi.

The donation includes a Mahindra Bolero vehicle, a portable X-ray machine, and an LED biological microscope, collectively valued at ₹13,26,488. These additions are expected to bolster medical services at Udupi Civil Hospital, especially in outreach and diagnostic capacities.

The formal handover ceremony took place in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Swroopa T K, emphasizing KRCL’s dedication to social development and public welfare.

Asha Shetty, Regional Railway Manager, Karwar, officially handed over the vehicle keys to the DC. The event was also attended by key district officials, including:
