Kasturba Hospital, Manipal; Dr T M A Pai Hospital, Udupi; and Dr T M A Pai Rotary Hospital, Karkala have announced a three-day closure from August 15 to 17.
The decision aligns with national and regular monthly holidays—August 15 for Independence Day, August 16 as the month’s third Saturday, and August 17 being a Sunday.
Hospital management has confirmed that trauma and emergency services will continue to operate round the clock, ensuring that urgent medical needs are addressed without interruption. However, outpatient consultations, elective procedures, and other non-emergency services will be unavailable during this period.
The institutions have advised the public to schedule non-urgent visits before or after the holiday window to avoid inconvenience. Patients with existing appointments on these dates are encouraged to contact the hospital’s administrative desk to reschedule.
In a joint message, the hospitals extended warm wishes to the community for a safe and meaningful Independence Day, while urging everyone to take necessary health precautions during the holiday period.
This advance notice aims to help residents of Manipal, Udupi, and Karkala plan their medical visits effectively while ensuring uninterrupted access to critical care.
