A minor has been detained in Udupi in connection with a recent house break-in and theft in Amparu, under Shankaranarayana police station limits. According to the complainant, Akkayya, the incident occurred while he and his daughter were away from October 10 to 21. Upon their return, they discovered the front door’s lock broken and found Rs 4,000 in cash, two mobile phones, and a charger missing.
Shankaranarayana police registered the case, invoking sections 331(3), 331(4), and 305 of the BNS. During the investigation, officers recovered mobile phones and items valued at Rs 87,890 from the minor, who was subsequently presented before the Juvenile Justice Board.
