Kota Srinivas Poojary, the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP-elect, inaugurated a new passenger shelter at Kundapur railway station on Monday, enhancing the facilities within the Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. network. The shelter, sponsored by Venkatesh Kamath of Raghavendra Jewellery in collaboration with the Kundapura Rail Prayanikara Hitharakshana Samiti, aims to improve comfort and convenience for travelers.

With this addition, Kundapur railway station now boasts a total of eight passenger shelters. This upgrade is part of ongoing efforts to enhance passenger amenities at the station, ensuring a more comfortable waiting experience for commuters.

The inauguration event was attended by several notable figures, including KRCL Senior Regional Traffic Manager Dileep D. Bhat, Samiti President Ganesh Puthran, and office-bearers Vivek Nayak and Gautham Shetty, among others. The collaborative effort highlights the commitment of both local businesses and community organizations to support and improve railway infrastructure in the region.

KRCL Public Relations Manager Sudha Krishnamurthy emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing passenger satisfaction and overall station facilities.
