P Vaidehi Nayantara, an assistant professor in the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Department at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, has been awarded a PhD degree for her research thesis titled “Computer-Aided Diagnosis System for Detection and Classification of Liver Tumor Using Computed Tomography Images.”

Her research focuses on developing advanced diagnostic systems to enhance the detection and classification of liver tumors using CT images, contributing significantly to the field of medical imaging and artificial intelligence. The thesis was completed under the expert guidance of Dr. Surekha Kamath, a professor in the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal.
