Mahesh (43), a parota vendor known for selling his products in Manipal and Udupi, has been missing since June 5. Mahesh, who prepared parotas at home, regularly sold them to local hotels. On June 5, he took a batch of parotas on his scooter to Manipal, delivering them to the Manipal hospital canteen.
After making his delivery, Mahesh parked his scooter at the hospital and has not been seen since. A complaint has been filed at the Manipal police station regarding his disappearance.
