A disturbance occurred in Kappettu, Kidiyoor village when a mentally ill stranger entered two houses at night, alarming the occupants who promptly alerted the police. Law enforcement swiftly responded, apprehended the individual, identified as Sunil Verma from Rajgadh, and took him into custody.
Investigating Assistant Riyaz from the city police station, assisted by social worker Nityananda Olakadu, ensured the safe transfer of Sunil Verma to Doddanagudde Dr A V Baliga Hospital for medical evaluation and care. It was determined that Sunil Verma’s actions were due to his mental condition.
