On the evening of Friday, chaos ensued on NH 66 near Kotalakatte as a private express bus traveling from Udupi to Mangaluru lost control, veering onto the road divider. The incident occurred when the driver seemingly lost control of the vehicle, causing its bottom to become lodged on the divider, halting its movement.

Fortunately, despite the precarious situation, all passengers aboard the bus remained unharmed. However, had the bus moved even slightly further, it risked overturning, potentially leading to severe consequences. The abrupt obstruction also caused disruption to the flow of traffic along the highway, inconveniencing commuters.

Upon receiving reports of the incident, the Kaup police promptly arrived at the scene. Their intervention ensured the smooth passage of vehicles, effectively managing the traffic snarl caused by the bus straddling the divider.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining control and vigilance while driving, particularly on busy thoroughfares like NH 66. It underscores the critical role of swift and efficient response from authorities in mitigating potential risks and restoring normalcy to public transportation routes.
