Udupi: Progressive farmer and social worker Umesh Shetty (36), a resident of Ugrani Bettu near the Ajekar Vishnumurthy Temple, passed away after suffering a heart attack on July 25. His sudden demise has left his family, friends and the local community in shock, particularly as he was actively involved in religious and social initiatives in the region.
According to family sources, Shetty experienced uneasiness while at home on Friday. He was immediately taken to a clinic in Ajekar for medical attention. However, the attending doctor confirmed that he had already succumbed to a heart attack before reaching the hospital.

Rushed to hospital after feeling unwell
Family members said Umesh Shetty suddenly complained of discomfort while at his residence in Ugrani Bettu.
