Reservation List for Municipal and Town Panchayat Leadership Posts Announced

On Monday, August 5, the Department of Urban Development released the reservation list for the president and vice-president posts of municipal councils, city councils, and town panchayats. The state government has announced reservations for 61 municipal councils, 123 city councils, and 117 town panchayats.

The reservation details are as follows:

• Udupi Municipal Council: The president position is reserved for the General Category, and the vice-president position is reserved for a General Category woman.
• Kapu City Council: The president position is reserved for a General Category woman, and the vice-president position is reserved for the Scheduled Caste category.
• Karkala City Council: Both the president and vice-president positions are reserved for the General Category.
• Kundapur City Council: The president position is reserved for the General Category, and the vice-president position is reserved for a General Category woman.
• Saligrama Town Panchayat: The president position is reserved for a General Category woman, and the vice-president position is reserved for a Backward Class (A) woman.
• Byndoor Town Panchayat: The president position is reserved for a Backward Class (A) woman, and the vice-president position is reserved for the Backward Class (B) category.
