A student of Rotary PU College who was critically injured in a car–bike collision at Bannadka on Thursday night has succumbed to his injuries despite intensive medical treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Shravan, son of Sadananda Suvarna and Rajashree of Kotebagilu in Marpadi village.
Collision near Daivasthana
The accident occurred near Bannadka Daivasthana on the under-construction Karkala–Moodbidri National Highway. Shravan was reportedly travelling as a pillion rider with content creator Suraj Anchan when the incident took place.
According to sources, a car coming at high speed from the Karkala side allegedly rammed into the bike, leaving both riders critically injured.
Shifted to Mangaluru hospital
The injured were initially admitted to a hospital in Moodbidri and later shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment. Despite efforts by doctors, Shravan did not respond to treatment and passed away.
The tragic incident has left family members and classmates in shock. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
