Udupi: A road development initiative worth Rs 50 lakh has been approved and formally launched in the Kutyaru Gram Panchayat area, which falls under the Kapu Assembly constituency. The sanctioned funds will be utilized to upgrade the stretch from Paiyaru Bobbarya Gujji P. Jati Colony to Bhavani House, located in front of Pratibha’s residence.

This long-awaited road improvement fulfills a key demand of the local community, aiming to enhance transportation connectivity and ease daily commute for residents.

The project’s commencement was marked by a gathering of local representatives and community members. Kutyaru Gram Panchayat President Janardhana Acharya led the event, accompanied by Panchayat members Ganesh Shetty and Lata Acharya, and former member Shanta.

Prominent villagers and well-wishers, including Annayya Naik and Sheena Naik, also attended the function, expressing their appreciation for the development work being undertaken in their locality.

Residents expressed optimism that the road construction will significantly improve accessibility in the area, especially during the rainy season when poor road conditions often become a challenge.

Leaders present emphasized the importance of such infrastructure projects in ensuring rural progress and called for continued public cooperation during the implementation phase.

The initiative is part of broader efforts to boost rural infrastructure in Udupi district and ensure that remote areas receive essential civic upgrades.
