Scorpio Catches Fire on NH 66, All Occupants Safe

Udupi: A Scorpio SUV en route from Udupi to Mangaluru on National Highway 66 burst into flames near Tenka Ermalu.

The fire originated in the engine bay of the vehicle, owned by residents of Balkunje. The driver and two passengers, demonstrating quick thinking, evacuated the car promptly, avoiding any injuries.

Passersby and locals played a vital role in controlling the situation by alerting authorities and offering assistance. The Udupi district fire brigade responded swiftly, arriving at the scene to douse the flames before the fire could spread further.

Thanks to timely action and coordinated efforts, a potentially disastrous outcome was averted.
