Udupi: The recent cow slaughter incident in Kunjalu, Brahmavar has stirred speculation that the act may have been planned in advance. The SDPI Udupi district unit has urged law enforcement to go beyond the current arrests and conduct a comprehensive inquiry to uncover the full truth.

Addressing the media in Udupi, SDPI State Secretary Riyaz Kadambu expressed doubts about the role of BJP and Sangh Parivar in the episode. He insisted that the police delve deeper into the incident to determine if there is a larger conspiracy at play.

Kadambu criticised the Udupi MLA for allegedly making communal statements even before a proper investigation was launched. He claimed that such remarks were intended to disturb communal peace.

He further pointed out that despite the real accused being apprehended, VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell addressed the press and made statements blaming the Muslim community, allegedly aiming to malign them.

Kadambu suggested that this could be part of a politically motivated strategy to incite division and distract from governance failures. He asserted that such incidents may be engineered to polarize society rather than focus on development.

The SDPI leader concluded by insisting that the police must uncover any hidden agendas and bring all those involved behind the scenes to justice.
