A serious collision between a scooter and a bike on NH 66 in Pangala on Sunday afternoon resulted in injuries to six individuals, including two children. The accident occurred when the bike, traveling from Mangaluru, collided with the scooter, which was en route from Udupi.

The impact of the crash caused significant injuries to the bike rider, Vikas, and the pillion rider, Sanu, both of whom are from Mangaluru. Shobha, who was riding pillion on the scooter with her husband Samuel, also sustained serious injuries. Samuel and their two children, who were also on the scooter, suffered only minor injuries.

The injured individuals were promptly taken to a private hospital in Udupi for treatment. Kaup police have registered a case concerning the accident and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The accident highlights the need for increased vigilance on the roads, particularly in high-traffic areas such as NH 66, to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of all road users.
