The Rotary Club of Manipal Hills has installed Ms Suparna Manipal as their new President for the year 2024-25. An announcement from the club said, the installation ceremony, took place at the Manipal Rotary Hills Children’s Park on July 18. Poojya Shri Bheemeshwar Joshi, Dharmakartaru of Horanadu Kshetra and Former National Vice President of Junior Chamber International (JCI), blessed the event and served as the installing officer.

This prestigious event was graced by several eminent personalities. Rtn MPHF Jagannath Kote, the Assistant Governor for District 3182 for the term 2024-25, Rtn PHF Vinod Sreedharan, the Chief Sergeant-at-Arms for District 3192 for the term 2024-25, and Rtn Umesh Salian, the Zonal Lieutenant for District 3182 for the term 2024-25, all distinguished Rotarians joined the leadership transition demonstrating their support for the new team and their commitment to the values of Rotary.
New Office Bearers: Rtn Suparna S Manipal, President and Rtn Suresh Rai, Secretary succeeded the outgoing office bearers, Rtn Ramananda Bhat, President, and Rtn U. Madhav Maiya, Secretary.
The new leadership team has expressed their commitment to continuing the club’s legacy of service and community involvement, aiming to further strengthen the impact of Rotary’s humanitarian efforts in the region.

Event Highlights: The ceremony commenced with an instrumental performance by Rtn Sundar Poojary and his team at 5:00 PM, setting a serene and uplifting tone for the evening. This was followed by an invocation dance by talented artists from Sristi Nritya Kala Kuteera, Udupi.
The Four-Way Test: In true Rotary spirit, the event reflected upon the Four-Way Test, a moral code for personal and business relationships adopted by Rotary International. The Four-Way Test poses four questions that serve as a guiding principle for Rotarians worldwide:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Dinner: Following the formal proceedings, attendees partook in a sumptuous dinner, which provided an opportunity for fellowship and networking among Rotarians, their families, and guests.
The Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Manipal Hills was expected to be, and indeed was, a memorable occasion. It celebrated the spirit of Rotary and the seamless transition of leadership. The President said, “The club remains committed to its mission of service above self, fostering goodwill, and making a positive impact on the community”.
