On June 5, Manipal police arrested three youths in Shivalli village, Eshwar Nagar, for consuming drugs. The accused have been identified as Jeeva (22), Lakshman (21), and Nirguna (20). The arrest occurred during a routine patrol by Deputy Inspector Raghavendra C, who noticed that the trio appeared to be intoxicated.

Suspicious of drug consumption, the police brought the youths to the Manipal KMC forensic medicine department for testing. The tests confirmed that the three individuals had indeed consumed narcotic substances. Following the confirmation, a case was registered at the Manipal police station, and an investigation is currently underway to uncover more details about the source of the drugs and any potential involvement of others in the drug supply chain.
