In a tragic incident this afternoon, a pedestrian identified as Angara (75) lost his life after being struck by a crane in Ayyappa Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Karkala Town Police Station.
Angara, who was walking from Ayyappa Nagar in Kukkundoor to his residence in Kukkundoor Jaldurga, met with the accident as the crane, traveling from Karkala Joduraste towards Ayyappa Nagar, collided with him from behind. The impact caused severe injuries to Angara, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
