Udupi: A 26-year-old woman, Keerthana Shetty, a resident of Indrali in Dendurukatte, tragically died by suicide after being engaged a month and a half ago.
Keerthana attempted suicide by hanging herself in her room using a shawl. Her family found her and rushed her to a private hospital in Udupi for treatment. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries on November 17.
Keerthana had been employed at the Belle Agricultural Service Cooperative Society for the past three years.
The circumstances leading to this unfortunate incident remain unclear. Authorities are investigating the case to determine the reasons behind the act.
