Opportunity to seek inclusion
People whose names have been omitted from the electoral rolls, including those who did not participate in the revision process, will have an opportunity to apply to the Election Commission for inclusion after January 1, 2027, the Deputy Commissioner said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Abid Gadyal was present at the press conference. Swaroopa T.K. handed over CDs containing the final electoral rolls to representatives of political parties, including Congress, BJP and JD(S).
The revision has resulted in a lower overall number of registered voters in the district. Eligible residents whose names are missing can use the prescribed process to seek inclusion in the electoral rolls.
