Udupi: In celebration of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary and Teachers’ Day, the Udupi district-level Ideal Teacher Award ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 7 at 9:30 am at the Adarsh Group of Institutions, Kemthur Road, Alevoor.

The programme is being jointly organised by Adarsh Charitable Trust Udupi, Adarsh Group of Institutions, and the Udupi District School Education Department, informed Adarsh Hospital CEO Vimala Chandrashekar at a press conference.

65 teachers to be honoured

Teachers from five zones of Udupi district will be recognised under different categories:

  • Primary section: government, aided, and unaided schools

  • High school section: government, aided, and unaided schools

  • CBSE schools: five teachers

    • In all, 65 teachers will receive the Ideal Teacher Award.

    Guests and inauguration

    Deputy Commissioner Swaroop T.K. will inaugurate the ceremony and felicitate the awardees.
    The event will also be graced by:

  • GM CEO Prateek Bayal

  • Former minister Pramod Madhwaraj

  • Alevoor Grama Panchayat president Yatish Kumar

    • Senior manager Diogo Cadras and Dr. Prashant Palli were also present at the press briefing.
