Udupi: In a recent case involving hate speech at Nitte College Ladies Hostel, the Karkala Rural Police have arrested a 21-year-old student, Fatima Shabda, in connection with offensive writings discovered in a hostel toilet on May 7.
The incident sparked tension and concern among students after hate-filled messages were found scribbled on the walls of the hostel bathroom. Following an internal inquiry, a case was officially registered at the Karkala Rural Police Station.
