Udupi: A 33-year-old married woman, Heena Kaushar, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances after her scooter and slippers were discovered near Kodi bridge in Kundapur during the early hours of Monday.
Heena, a resident of Vithalawadi in Kundapur, was last seen around 4 am when locals spotted her belongings abandoned near the bridge. Her mobile phone became unreachable shortly after, raising immediate concern among her family.
Her husband, who is currently working overseas, lives apart while Heena stayed with their two children and her mother. When repeated calls to her phone went unanswered, her worried family members filed a missing person’s report at the Kundapur police station.
Following the complaint, authorities launched a search operation in the river beneath Kodi bridge. Teams from the police department, fire services, and local residents have joined hands in the rescue and search efforts. However, despite an extensive operation, there has been no sign of the missing woman as of now.
The sudden disappearance and the circumstances under which her belongings were found have left the community in shock. Police are exploring all angles, and efforts are being made to trace her at the earliest.
Locals are urged to come forward with any relevant information that might help the investigation. The situation remains tense as the search continues through the day.
