Udupi: In light of the increasing number of bank robberies, a crucial meeting was convened by Udupi’s Superintendent of Police (SP), Arun, with local bank and jewellery officials to discuss safety measures.
The SP highlighted the importance of implementing robust security protocols, such as installing CCTV systems, hiring qualified security personnel, and maintaining constant vigilance to safeguard these establishments. He further recommended prioritizing the recruitment of retired military personnel for security positions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
The authorities are taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of banks and jewellery stores in response to rising concerns about security threats.
