Udupi: A young man from Hoode succumbed to injuries sustained in a road accident near Nittur in Udupi while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Manipal on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Bette Afran, son of Bette Gaffar and a resident of Jannath Nagar in Sagara.
Accident leaves student critically injured
According to reports, Afran sustained severe injuries in an accident involving a car and a two-wheeler near Nittur on Sunday.
He was immediately shifted to a hospital in Manipal for advanced treatment and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Despite receiving treatment, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
Student was returning to Udupi
Afran was pursuing degree studies at a private college in Udupi. He was reportedly returning to Udupi after completing his internship duties when the accident occurred.
The incident has left his family and friends mourning the loss of the young student.
