Udupi: State BJP president BY Vijayendra took a sharp dig at expelled BJP leader KS Eshwarappa, who is vocally supporting former Udupi MLA and expelled BJP leader Raghupathi Bhat in his independent candidacy for the South West Graduates’ Constituency for the biennial election for the Karnataka Legislative Council.
Speaking to reporters, Vijayendra revealed that Eshwarappa, who is now supporting Raghupathi Bhat and criticizing BJP candidate Dr. Dhananjay Sarji, was the first person to recommend Dr. Sarji’s name. “He might have forgotten, but he was the one who suggested Dr. Sarji’s name and also praised him as a very honest person,” Vijayendra stated.
Vijayendra was in Kumbashi on Friday to participate in the Sahasra Narikela Gana Yaga, a religious ritual organized at the Anegudde Ganapathi temple. He attended the ritual with his wife, Prema. The Yagna was organized by entrepreneur G. Raghavendra Upadhyaya.
