Udupi, November 21, 2024: A potentially catastrophic accident was averted when a cement redimix lorry overturned at Ambagal-Perampalli cross in Udupi district. The incident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle, but fortunately, no other vehicles were present at the time.

The lorry, en route to Manipal from Angate, lost control at the Perampalli cross, flipping onto the road divider. The driver sustained minor injuries but is reported to be out of danger.

The accident, captured on CCTV, highlights the importance of caution in accident-prone areas. Authorities are reviewing the footage to determine the exact cause of the mishap.

While the accident disrupted traffic briefly, swift action from locals and officials ensured the area was cleared, averting further inconvenience.
