To commemorate the two-year anniversary of the Congress-led government in Karnataka, the Udupi District Youth Congress marked the occasion through an act of compassion—by distributing fruits to needy patients at the Ajjarkad District Government Hospital in Udupi on Saturday.

The initiative was designed to show empathy and solidarity with the underprivileged, bringing a brief moment of comfort and care to those undergoing treatment in the government facility.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from Congress party leaders and Youth Congress members. Notable attendees included District Congress President Ashok Kodavoor, State Youth Congress Vice President Manjunath Chetti, and general secretaries Sonia and Sanjay Acharya.

Also joining the programme were Udupi District Youth Congress President Krishna Shetty Bajagoli, along with former presidents Vishwas Amin and Naveen Saliyan. The initiative was further supported by vice presidents Pramod Poojary, Arjun Nayari, Atif Kapu, and secretaries Yogish Inna, Manjunath Jogi, and Pradeep Shetty Nallur, among others.

In their remarks, leaders praised the administration under CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D K Shivakumar for fulfilling electoral commitments and delivering tangible benefits to the people. They reaffirmed the Youth Congress’s dedication to grassroots service and social outreach.

The gesture was well-received, drawing smiles and gratitude from patients and medical staff alike.
