Prior to 1990s these were restricted to their houses. And our NGO was a ray of hope among the family of these special ones to see the developments in their loved ones.”

Nagaraj Bhat also shed light on their various units which include, Day care centre for senior citizens, Medicare for general public, Special schools etc.

Speaking about Chetana Day Care Centre he shared, “We keep the students here busy with activities from morning to evening. Regularly physiotherapy to the kids here keeps them away from the body stiffness which occur.”

” In order to reduce the stress of the future of specially-abled kids, which exists among their parents we are planning for a special centre for the same,” he putforth.

As an advice to the audience Nagaraj Bhat said, “Don’t show your mercy on these kids. Lend your hand and contribute to their development.”
