Kumta (Uttar Kannada): RH Nayka, Vice President of the Congress in Uttar Kannada District’s taluk, filed a complaint with the District Superintendent of Police on Tuesday against Nandini Bhandarakar, a resident of Bengaluru, for sharing a picture on Facebook of Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi’s portrait in Parliament.
“Nandini Bhandarakar intended to hurt the sentiments of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress workers, and disrupt communal harmony. Nandini’s post received mixed reactions on Facebook. An FIR should be immediately registered against her and she should be arrested,” he stated in the letter.
