Byndoor, Jun 18: Byndoor police successfully intercepted a vehicle allegedly involved in illegal cattle transportation near Shiroor around 9:30 pm on June 17, Monday night.
Two suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended by the police during a routine vehicle inspection near Lower Padukere in Shiroor. Upon inspection, police discovered a cow in the rear compartment of the vehicle, with its hands and feet tightly bound with a yellow nylon rope. The cattle was estimated to be worth Rs 10,000 and was being transported illegally.
The police have seized the vehicle valued at Rs 3 lakh and have initiated necessary legal proceedings regarding the incident.
