Sirsi: In a swift operation, the Sirsi police have arrested five individuals accused of robbing two people from Kerala, who were lured with promises of gold. The accused have been identified as: Nagappa Doddaramana Korachara, Avinash Kotresha Korachara, Nissar Ahmed Mohammad Zafar Balagara, Sanjeeva K.R. of Anavatti, Shimoga district, Ramanna Korachara, and Krishnappa Nayka of Shikaripura Malenahalli Tanda.
Uttara Kannada District Superintendent of Police Narayan M announced that the police have recovered ₹7,63,000 and three motorcycles from the accused. The arrests were made within 24 hours of the robbery, and an emergency operation was conducted to apprehend the culprits.
The police are currently searching for three absconding individuals connected to the case. Additionally, the arrested individuals have multiple complaints against them in various stations, which will be investigated further.
