Hubli, Jun 19: A tragic incident occurred at Sathodi Falls where Hasan (36), a laborer from Hubli, drowned while on a trip with his relatives and friends. The incident took place on Tuesday evening when Hasan, enjoying a swim at the waterfall, slipped and tragically drowned.
Sathodi Falls, known for its picturesque beauty in the Uttara Kannada district, attracts tourists and locals alike, especially during the monsoon season when the waterfall is at its fullest. Despite its allure, the area can pose dangers due to slippery rocks and strong currents.
After Hasan slipped into the water and failed to resurface, his companions immediately alerted authorities. The Yellapur police responded swiftly, and a case has been registered regarding the incident.
