The Chhattisgarh High Court has dismissed a writ petition filed by Tamrdwaj Yadav, citing unjustifiable delays in pursuing the case. Yadav had applied for a compassionate appointment two years after his father’s death in 2005 and filed a petition six years after his application was rejected in 2009. The court emphasized the importance of timely action, rejecting the petition due to “inactivity and inaction” by the petitioner.

The court also noted that Yadav’s family had other earning members, which reduced the urgency for employment support.
