Bangalore: Karnataka governor H R Bhardwaj, on Tuesday said that reports of him resigning from his post are baseless. Earlier reports surfaced that he has met President Pranab Mukherjee to submit his resignation.

However Karanataka Governor HR Bharadwaj denied reports that they will resign from their posts. “No one asked me for it and I won’t resign. Meeting President was a courtesy call,” said Bhardwaj.
According to sources, the Centre was planning to remove 5 governors including Bhardwaj. Others included the governors of Kerala, Punjab, Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.
