Bodybuilder Jose Mateus Correia Silva Dies From Heart Attack During Workout

Jose Mateus Correia Silva, a 28-year-old Brazilian bodybuilder and fitness entrepreneur, tragically passed away while exercising at a gym in Aguas Claras, Brasilia. Known for his participation in major bodybuilding events like the South American Championships, Jose collapsed suddenly after suffering a massive heart attack during his workout session with friends.

One of his friends, a firefighter, rushed him to a local fire station in an attempt to revive him, but despite more than an hour of resuscitation efforts, he could not be saved. Jose had no known prior health conditions, according to his family. His brother, Tiago, expressed gratitude for the professional support provided by the team who tried to save him.

This loss follows a series of similar tragic incidents in the bodybuilding community. Earlier this year, 19-year-old Matheus Pavlak, a rising star in Brazilian bodybuilding, died from a heart attack after overcoming obesity through intense training. In another instance in September, a well-known Belarusian bodybuilder, famous for his massive biceps and chest, also passed away after suffering a heart attack. These deaths have raised concerns over the health risks linked to extreme bodybuilding.
