A child was injured during an evening drone attack in the Bucha district of Ukraine’s Kyiv region on September 17, according to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
Girl receives medical care after attack
The injured child, a girl born in 2019, suffered acoustic trauma and was receiving medical treatment, regional administration head Tymur Tkachenko said.
The attack also damaged three private homes and a vehicle in the Bucha district. Emergency services were working at the affected locations to assess and address the damage.
Authorities urged residents to remain in safe places and warned people not to ignore air-raid alerts while the threat remained.
Damage reported as emergency teams respond
The incident was part of a wider series of Russian attacks reported across Ukraine. Earlier on September 17, a warehouse in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region was also damaged during a morning attack, according to Ukrinform.
The latest incident has once again highlighted the risks faced by civilians, including children, during aerial attacks in populated areas.
The exact extent of the damage in Bucha district was still being assessed as emergency personnel continued their work at the affected sites.
