At least four people lost their lives and five others sustained injuries in four separate firing incidents reported across Karachi on Wednesday night, police sources said.

Double murder in Memon Goth

In the Memon Goth neighbourhood, two men were shot dead while a woman was injured. According to police, both deceased victims suffered fatal head wounds.

The injured woman was found in a bushy area near a private housing society off the Super Highway. In her initial statement, she claimed two unidentified men opened fire and fled the scene.

Investigators recovered several 9mm pistol shells and empty alcohol bottles from the site. Authorities said the motive behind the attack remains unclear.

Robbery turns violent

In another incident, a youth identified as Huzaifa was critically injured after being shot in the stomach while allegedly resisting a robbery attempt.

A crowd in the vicinity reportedly intercepted the fleeing suspects, assaulted them, and later handed them over to the police.

Three more individuals were injured in a separate firing incident in Delhi Colony. Police said investigations into all four cases are under way.

Other violence reported

Earlier on February 11, a person identified as Advocate Attaullah Jan was killed and seven others injured in a clash reportedly triggered by a dispute among children in Swat.

Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court summoned reports from the Home Secretary Punjab and the CCPO while hearing a petition regarding deaths and injuries during Basant celebrations. The petition cited six deaths and over 100 injuries during the festival.

Authorities continue to probe the recent incidents as concerns grow over law and order in various regions.
