In a dramatic scene reminiscent of a heist movie, a group of twenty masked individuals raided a jewelry store headquartered in Pune, located in Sunnyvale, California. CCTV footage from PNG Jewellers captured the moment the robbers forcefully entered the store by breaking through its glass doors. The video, widely circulated on social media, shows the masked men, some clad in hoodies, swiftly overwhelming the lone security guard.

Once inside, the robbers systematically targeted each display area, smashing glass cases and swiftly filling backpacks with stolen jewelry. The entire operation, meticulously planned and executed, took less than three minutes, suggesting a thorough familiarity with the store’s layout. Local reports indicated that the suspects may have conducted prior reconnaissance of the premises.

Authorities have apprehended five individuals in connection with the robbery. PNG Jewellers, which originated from a single store in Pune and has grown into a global chain with 35 locations in India, the US, and Dubai, detailed its expansion on its website, attributing its name to the late entrepreneur Purshottam Narayan Gadgil.
