US Vice President Kamala Harris has officially declared her candidacy for the 2024 presidential election, signing the necessary forms and expressing confidence in her campaign. On social media, Harris announced, “Today, I signed the forms officially declaring my candidacy for President of the United States. I will work to earn every vote, and in November, our people-powered campaign will win.”

Earlier this week, former President Barack Obama endorsed Harris following Joe Biden’s exit from the race. Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama pledged their full support for Harris. Obama posted on social media, “Michelle and I told @KamalaHarris that we believe she’ll be a fantastic President and that she has our full support. We will do everything we can to ensure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us.”

Support for Harris has also come from other prominent figures. Actor George Clooney, a notable Democratic fundraiser, endorsed her candidacy, while President Joe Biden praised Harris in a recent Oval Office address. Biden described her as experienced, tough, and capable, stating, “She’s been an incredible partner to me and a leader for our country. Now, the choice is up to the American people.”

With the upcoming election set for November 5, Kamala Harris is the Democratic nominee following Biden’s endorsement. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre underscored that Harris is highly qualified to be the party’s nominee.

Harris’s campaign benefits from significant endorsements and a commitment to grassroots efforts, positioning her strongly for the upcoming presidential race.
