Nepali singer Sachin Pariyar, 15, dies after battling health issues

Nepali child singer Sachin Pariyar, famous for his song “Otha Kholera,” passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 15. He was undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, where he had been receiving medical care for over five years.

According to hospital sources, Pariyar had been diagnosed with a congenital trilateral ventricular cyst, a condition that required neurosurgery to manage. Additionally, he suffered from central diabetes insipidus, which necessitated daily medication. On December 28, he was admitted to the hospital due to severe fever, seizures, and altered consciousness. Despite receiving extensive care, including ventilation, antibiotics, and blood transfusions, his condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to complications such as pneumonia, multiple organ failure, and severe infection.

On the fifth day of his hospitalization, severe pulmonary bleeding resulted in a lack of oxygen and cardiac arrest, which led to his tragic passing. Pariyar had lent his talents to several popular projects, including the song “Bar ko Chhayanle,” alongside Rajesh Hamal and other notable singers. His music video for “Otha Kholera” had garnered over 19 million views on YouTube by January 2, showcasing both his singing and acting abilities.

Pariyar’s untimely death has left the Nepali music industry in shock, with fans mourning the loss of a talented young artist.
