Selena Gomez has officially shared that she is engaged to songwriter Benny Blanco.
The actress and singer posted a photo of a stunning engagement ring on Instagram, paired with the caption, “forever begins now.”
This announcement follows their confirmation of a relationship last year.
Among those offering congratulations was pop icon Taylor Swift.
The two-time Grammy-nominated Gomez shared additional photos of her smiling while wearing the ring, including one of Blanco embracing her, which appeared to be taken in a closet.
Blanco cheekily commented, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”
Swift playfully responded, “Yes I will be the flower girl.”
Other celebrities such as rapper Cardi B, actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, and Suki Waterhouse, and singer Lil Nas X also extended their well-wishes.
Gomez also shared an Instagram Story with her 423 million followers, revealing a video showing her excitedly displaying the ring to her loved ones on a video call. She can be heard saying, “Yes to this,” as joyous screams erupted on the other side.
The couple previously collaborated on the songs I Can’t Get Enough (2019) and Single Soon (2023) before confirming their romance.
Blanco, known for working with artists like Rihanna and Justin Bieber, expressed his admiration for Gomez on the Drew Barrymore Show. He praised her as “the sweetest, most charming, and humble person.”
Gomez, who rose to fame as a child star on Barney & Friends and Disney Channel, is now a successful singer and actress. She recently joined the billionaire celebrity list with a $1.3bn fortune from her Rare Beauty brand.
This year, she earned two Golden Globe nominations for her roles in Emilia Pérez and Only Murders in the Building.
