SHOCKER: Charlie Hebdo caricature on Aylan Kurdi calls him ‘sex attacker’ if he had grown up

Paris: After the entire world mourned for the tragic end of three-year-old Aylan Kurdi, a Syrian boy who was found dead on a Turkish beach last year, French satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo has brought out a cartoon suggesting that the boy would have grown up to be a sex attacker.

The image of Alan lying face down on a Turkish beach last September appeared around the world creating a wave of sympathy for the plight of refugees
fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East and Africa.

But, in a shocking drawing that appeared on the controversial magazine, two male creatures running after terrified women with the caption: “What would have become of the young Alan if he had grown up? A groper in Germany.” has sparked outrage online.

This time, many people on social media said the cartoon was offensive while others argued Charlie Hebdo was keeping to its usual provocative tone to stir debate on European attitudes to the migrant crisis.

The cartoon was published a week after the anniversary of attacks on the offices of Charlie Hebdo in Paris which killed 12 people in January last year.
It is said that sexual assaults on women in Cologne and other cities of Germany has shot up and many have been blaming the migrants for the same. More than one million refugees entered Germany last year, more than any other European country and with this GErman Chancellor Angela Merkel has been facing sharp criticism for her policies on refugees.
