Thirteen individuals experienced an unexpected ordeal when a ride at Sea World on the Gold Coast malfunctioned, leaving them stranded in mid-air for about 90 minutes. The issue arose due to a “sensor communication fault,” according to a statement from park officials.

The passengers were provided with water and umbrellas to protect them from the heat while they waited for the situation to be resolved. Sea World’s engineering team swiftly responded by manually lowering the ride, ensuring that everyone was safely evacuated without injury.

Local media reported that no injuries were sustained, and the park’s quick response helped mitigate the situation. This incident highlights the importance of rigorous safety measures and rapid response protocols at amusement parks.
