UK: A woman’s racist outburst against a fellow passenger on a British train has gone viral, drawing strong reactions across social media. The incident, which took place on an Avanti West Coast train traveling from London to Manchester, was filmed and shared on TikTok. In the video, the woman is seen telling the man, an NHS dentist, to “go back to Morocco or Tunisia,” provoking accusations of racism.
The altercation began when the woman, sitting across from the dentist, rudely asked him to move his feet, followed by a series of offensive remarks. In response, the dentist, who was born in the UK, questioned her, asking, “Why would you say that? That’s disrespectful. Were you born here?” The woman dismissively replied, “Doesn’t look like it.” The dentist firmly responded, “Do not ever disrespect me like that,” but the woman remained defiant, brushing off his response with a snide comment.
When asked about her own background, the woman refused to answer, stating, “I don’t want to speak with you.”
The British Transport Police were notified of the racial abuse on February 3, and they later met the train at Stoke station. The investigation is still ongoing.
The video has caused a stir online, with viewers highlighting the irony in the woman’s remarks, questioning her origins, and critiquing her behavior. Many pointed out the hypocrisy of her actions given the immigrant history of the UK.
